REQUIREMENTS

To gain all possible benefits from the Amber Sky event, we suggest that you select a “Dream Team” from your airline cabin crew. We have listed a few suggestions below that will help you to make the selection process even more effective.

Team structure: It is operating airline cabin crews. Each team consists of 2 flight attendants, and each airline company can bring more than one team to the event.

Subordination: Subordination in a team is not a priority or factor which influences the position of a team in the competition. Both Cabin crews and Senior Cabin crews can participate.

Restrictions: Service or sales trainers and instructors, cannot participate in the competition. They can only act as observers from airline companies.

Necessary qualities for participants: Positive attitude towards sales, teamwork, ability to make decisions, responsiveness, originality, quick-wittedness, knowledge in fields of products and brands, social skills.

Suggestion for choosing participants: We suggest that you use some form of selection process to choose the most applicable participants for participating in the competition.

For example: The Flight Attendant Division announces the upcoming participation of the airline company in the Amber Sky competition. The announcement should include information on the role of cabin crew in the competition, benefits that participants will gain from trainings, sponsor prizes, etc. After that, a selection of the company’s cabin crew should be performed. For example – setting potential participants the task to write a cover letter on the topic “Why I want to participate in the Amber Sky” or “How to improve sales quality” or “Sales growth on board” .

The contents of the cover letters should be considered, as well as data on achievements of the applicants in the fields of service and sales on board. The best will be chosen for an interview, and subsequently, for the participation in the Amber Sky competition.

During your team’s presence in the competition:
We ask you not to film in any way the participants or trainers during the training.

We ask managers:

  • To accompany their team during all collective activities
  • To remind teams to be in the appointed place on time – this is their responsibility
  • To observe and monitor emotions amongst the team, and to motivate and direct accordingly
  • To promote polite correct behavior towards all participants of the event
